Amdax Launches First Bitcoin Treasury Company on Amsterdam Exchange

Dutch crypto services company Amdax plans to launch a Bitcoin treasury company called AMBTS (Amsterdam Bitcoin Treasury Strategy) on the Dutch stock exchange, the firm announced Monday. Amdax CEO Lucas Wensing stated that "with over 10% of Bitcoin supply held by corporations, governments and institutions, we believe the time is right to establish a Bitcoin treasury company with the goal of listing on Euronext Amsterdam."

Bitcoin has risen nearly 32% in 2025, reaching record highs, following regulatory victories for the sector after President Donald Trump's return to the White House. Trump has called himself the "crypto president," and his family has made multiple forays into the sector over the past year.

Amdax and AMBTS plan to raise capital from private investors in an initial funding round. AMBTS's long-term ambition is to hold a minimum of 1% of all existing Bitcoin. Euronext Amsterdam is considered one of Europe's leading exchanges. The Amsterdam-based company provides cryptocurrency services and sees the opportunity created by growing institutional adoption of Bitcoin in the European market.
