Canada Approves First Spot XRP ETF on Toronto Stock Exchange

Purpose Investments has received final approval from Canadian regulators to launch the country's first spot XRP ETF. The fund, named Purpose XRP ETF, will be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) starting June 18, 2025, under the ticker symbol XRPP.

The ETF will provide investors with regulated access to XRP, the native token of the XRP Ledger, available in both Canadian dollars (CAD) and U.S. dollars (USD). XRP is primarily used for fast and low-cost international transactions.

According to Purpose Investments representatives, this product is part of the company's strategy to increase access to digital assets through transparent, compliant financial instruments. The company manages over $24 billion in assets.

The launch of the ETF comes amid rising demand for cryptocurrency-linked investment products, particularly among institutional investors looking to diversify their portfolios.
