Central African Republic to Tokenize Land with memecoin on Solana Blockchain

The Central African Republic will tokenize over 1,700 hectares of land using its national $CAR coin, built on the Solana blockchain, President Faustin-Archange Touadéra announced on Thursday. The announcement was accompanied by a presidential decree authorizing the tokenization process.
According to the official document, land concessions will be available online starting in June and will be accessible exclusively through the $CAR token. The land is located west of the village of Bossongo, about 45 kilometers from the capital, Bangui, and covers an area equivalent to approximately 2,500 football fields.
The decree also refers to the country's mining code and 2023 legislation on the tokenization of natural resources, suggesting potential future use for mining purposes.
