Coinbase Prepares for Comeback in India After Two-Year Hiatus

After a temporary withdrawal due to strict regulations, Coinbase has obtained the necessary approval from India's Financial Intelligence Unit to resume operations in the Indian market. The company confirmed that it will relaunch its cryptocurrency trading services later this year.
India, with a rapidly growing blockchain development community, represents a significant expansion opportunity for Coinbase. According to a statement from Coinbase, John O'Loghlen, Regional Director for Asia-Pacific, stated that India represents "one of the most exciting market opportunities in the world," adding that the Coinbase platform will offer new growth opportunities for Indian users and developers.
Coinbase emphasized that it will fully comply with local regulations to ensure consumer protection and adherence to India's financial standards. Additionally, the company plans to gradually expand its range of products and services in India, starting with the launch of retail services, followed by additional financial products for users.
