Crypto.com Secures MiFID License for Crypto Derivatives in EEA

Crypto.com has obtained a MiFID license to offer cryptocurrency financial derivatives in the European Economic Area (EEA), according to an official announcement on May 21. The license, issued under the European Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), allows the platform to offer regulated products to customers across the region.
This approval follows a few months after Crypto.com received provisional authorization under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, which governs digital assets in the European Union. The company had previously been approved by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) for the acquisition of local firm A.N. Allnew Investments.
Kris Marszalek, CEO and co-founder of Crypto.com, stated that obtaining the MiFID license is a key step in expanding the company’s services in Europe, providing new products to regional clients.
Crypto.com, a platform focused on mobile applications and payment services, continues to strengthen its European market position by complying with local regulations.
