Eric Trump Joins Metaplanet to Boost Bitcoin Plans

Eric Trump has joined Metaplanet’s advisory board to support the company’s Bitcoin investment goals. Recognized for his extensive experience in real estate, finance, and branding strategies, his involvement in this project is considered a major asset.

In addition to his new role at Metaplanet, he also serves as a Web3 ambassador for World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a DeFi platform associated with his father, former U.S. President Donald Trump. This reflects his growing interest in digital innovation and financial autonomy.

Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich highlighted Trump’s expertise as a crucial element in the company’s development strategy.

"His business vision, appreciation for the Bitcoin community, and international hospitality experience will significantly contribute to accelerating Metaplanet’s transformation into one of the world’s largest Bitcoin treasury management companies," Gerovich stated.

The announcement comes at a key moment for Metaplanet. Recently, the company issued zero-coupon bonds worth 2 billion yen, exclusively intended for Bitcoin acquisition. The declared goal is to accumulate 10,000 BTC by the end of 2025 and double that amount to 21,000 BTC by 2026.
