Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has earned a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for “the most participants in an online trading competition within 24 hours.” The World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2025 recorded 71,765 active participants in a single day, between August 27 at 12:00 PM UTC and August 28, according to data audited by HACKEN.
The award was officially confirmed by Guinness World Records, making Bybit the first crypto platform recognized in this category.
On September 8, 2025, one week before the competition’s conclusion, WSOT 2025 reported record trading volumes of $172.8 billion, a total of 1,474 teams registered (a 288% increase year-on-year), and over 236,000 registrations.
