Michael Saylor’s Strategy adds $45.6M in Bitcoin to its holdings
Michael Saylor’s company, Strategy, announced the purchase of 397 Bitcoin worth approximately $45.6 million, according to a filing submitted Monday to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The acquisition was made at an average price of $114,771 per Bitcoin.
Following this latest transaction, Strategy now holds a total of 641,205 Bitcoin, acquired for $47.49 billion at an average price of $74,047 per coin. According to data released by the company, the Bitcoin portfolio has achieved a year-to-date return of 26.1%.
Last week, Strategy also bought 390 Bitcoin for $43.3 million, bringing October’s total purchases to 778 BTC — one of the smallest monthly accumulations in recent years. By comparison, the company acquired 3,526 BTC in September, representing a 78% higher purchase rate.
