Moscow Exchange Confirms Ethereum Trust ETF Futures for August

The Moscow Exchange (MOEX) announced it will launch an index futures fund in August tracking the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF managed by BlackRock. The information was confirmed by Maria Patrikeyeva, Head of the MOEX Derivatives Market, as reported by RBC.
According to Patrikeyeva, the futures contract will have the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF as its underlying asset, with its quotation reflecting the value of one unit from this fund. The contract size will be slightly smaller than the one used for the IBIT (iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF) futures already listed by the exchange.
This launch follows shortly after MOEX introduced a similar product for Bitcoin. The Russian exchange plans to further expand its range of financial instruments linked to cryptocurrencies, including mutual funds and structured bonds.
Through this initiative, Moscow Exchange continues to strengthen its offering of financial products aimed at investors interested in digital assets, in a regulatory environment for crypto in Russia that is still evolving.
