NEAR Token May Soon Be Available Through Bitwise ETF

On May 6, Bitwise Asset Management filed a preliminary registration for an exchange-traded fund (ETF) tracking the price of the NEAR token, the native asset of the Near blockchain network. According to the filing, the ETF will be structured as a trust, allowing investors to gain exposure to NEAR through traditional brokerage accounts.

Coinbase Custody Trust Company is listed as the proposed custodian of the fund’s digital assets. Ticker symbol, management fee, and listing platform have not yet been disclosed. The current filing does not trigger the official review by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); the process will begin only after the submission of Form 19b-4.

Bitwise registered the trust in the state of Delaware on April 28, signaling its intent to expand its suite of crypto-linked investment products. The initiative follows growing demand for regulated offerings that provide direct exposure to alternative digital assets.
