Ripple, Coinbase, and MoonPay Join California’s Government Efficiency Task Force

Executives from Ripple, Coinbase, and MoonPay have been included in a new task force created by the state of California to improve administrative efficiency. The project, called the California Breakthrough Project, held its first meeting on June 6, 2025, at Ripple’s headquarters in San Francisco, according to journalist Eleanor Terrett.

The initiative is supported by California Governor Gavin Newsom, who stated that the state aims to collaborate with leaders from the technology and business sectors to reduce government inefficiencies and increase transparency in public services.

Participants in the task force include representatives from the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector, including Ripple, Coinbase, and MoonPay. The project’s goal is to create a framework for collaboration between state authorities and private industry to identify technology solutions applicable to public administration.
