Tether Launches AI Platform with Integrated USDT and BTC Payments

Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has announced that its upcoming artificial intelligence platform, Tether AI, will support payments in Bitcoin and USDT. The payment functionality will be available through a new wallet development kit, enabling the creation of self-custodial wallets compatible with these cryptocurrencies.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated on X on May 5 that the launch of Tether AI is imminent. The platform is described as a "personal infinite intelligence" solution, aiming to merge AI technology with crypto functionalities.

Through the platform, users will be able to perform peer-to-peer transactions directly in Bitcoin and USDT, without relying on centralized financial services.

Tether AI is part of the company's broader strategy to expand the use of stablecoins and blockchain technology in AI products and decentralized services.
