U.S. House Launches "Crypto Week" to Debate Key Digital Asset Bills

The U.S. House of Representatives has announced that the week of July 14–20 will be designated as "Crypto Week", during which three major digital asset bills will be debated: the CLARITY Act, the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, and the GENIUS Act (originally from the Senate).

According to Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill, these legislative initiatives aim to establish a clear regulatory framework for digital assets, protect financial privacy, and block the issuance of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

House Speaker Mike Johnson stated that these bills are part of the Trump administration’s agenda on digital innovation and cryptocurrencies. The legislation will be voted on in the House and, if approved, sent to the Senate.

Among the supporters of these initiatives are Senate leaders such as Tim Scott and Cynthia Lummis, who believe the U.S. has a strategic opportunity to become a global leader in blockchain technology and digital assets.
