Vietnam launches NDAChain, the national blockchain for digital ID and records

The Vietnamese government has officially launched NDAChain, a national blockchain platform designed to support the country’s digital ecosystem. The announcement was made on Friday, and the system will be managed by the Data Innovation and Exploitation Center under the Ministry of Public Security.
The platform was developed by the National Data Association (NDA) and is designed to facilitate digital contract signing, identity verification, and transaction validation across various sectors. According to authorities, NDAChain will serve as a critical digital infrastructure for the digitalization of both governmental and commercial processes.
The Vietnamese government claims that using a blockchain network will reduce the risks associated with centralized data models, including cyberattack vulnerabilities, scalability issues, and limited global interoperability.
NDAChain is expected to enhance administrative security and efficiency while improving integration with international identity and validation systems. The launch marks a significant step in the national strategy for digital transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies.
